This aerial photograph of the PSU
Veterans Memorial shows off its enormous size. |

A veterans reads the inscriptions on
the mahogany granite pavers. The pavers,
purchased by family and friends, total more than
2,750. Proceeds from the sale of the pavers
support the on going maintenance of the Memorial. |

A 300 foot "Moving
Wall" was refurbished by John Devitt, who donated it
to the University for permanent displays at the PSU
Veterans Memorial. The Wall is made of
porcelain-enameled steel panels with inscribed
names. |

The Monument Arch overlooks a 40 x 60
foot oval reflecting pool. The 12-ft. wide,
21-ft. 8-in. tall Monument Arch is the dominant
feature of the Memorial.
In the middle of the Arch is a 4-ft.
diameter circular window, in which sits the Eternal
Flame (below left).

 |
The Eternal Flame (left) represents
the values of selfless service and sacrifice.
The bronze sculpture (below) was
created by Wichita artist Constance Ernatt and is
entitled "Peace & Tranquility" and features a
sculputre of the world with doves encircling it. |
